NKP #901 Excursion
Friday, September 30th
Join the LM&M Railroad for a special excursion to celebrate the return of NKP #901! Formerly known as CNRY #85, NKP #901 has undergone an extensive cosmetic restoration to put it back in it’s 1962, as built appearance.
This will be the FIRST public trip to be pulled by the #901!
Trip highlights include:
• Roundtrip excursion that covers the entire route from Lebanon to Mason; trips of this length are rarely offered anymore.• Open air car placed directly behind the locomotive
• Weather permitting, a photo run-by will be performed
• Interaction with members of the Nickel Plate Historical & Technical Society
Trip Itinerary:
- 10:45am - Boarding begins at the Lebanon Station (127 S. Mechanic St. - Lebanon OH 45036)
- 11:00am - Depart from Lebanon for Mason
- 12:30pm - Arrive in Mason
- 12:30pm - 1:30pm - 1 Hr layover at the Brazenhead Irish Pub (lunch on your own)
- 1:30pm - Depart Mason for return trip to Lebanon Station
- 3:00pm - Arrive back at Lebanon Station
*If the weather is permitting, a photo run-by will be performed on the return trip to Lebanon Station.
Ticket Purchasing
$20 general admission aged 2 and above. (Infants under the age of 2 do not need a ticket.)
Group rates are available! Please call the ticket office for more details (513-933-8022).
Seats are sold in the enclosed cars only. Passengers may travel to the open air car after departure.
